The Subaru Outback is a Remarkable On- and Off-Road Capable SUV
An SUV that is just the right size and offers just the right number of features may seem out of reach. The Subaru Outback, however, checks those boxes effortlessly. Equipped to take on harsh weather and terrain, this SUV has a lot to offer commuters in Pasco, Kennewick, Richland and the Tri Cities area. Here is how the Subaru compares to another SUV on the market; the Mazda CX-5.
The Subaru Outback vs. Mazda CX-5

Trim Levels
Are you looking for a lot of options when it comes to the trim that you can choose? The Subaru Outback offers many choices with its lineup of the Subaru Outback 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited, and 3.6R Touring. However, the Mazda CX-5 only has three available trims.

Features and Technology
Making the Subaru Outback an efficient choice for road trips, it offers a spacious 35.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. If you decide to lower the rear seat, there is up to 73.3 cubic feet that you can use! This is substantially more than the estimated 30.9 cubic feet of cargo volume that the Mazda CX-5 offers with the rear seatback up and 59.6 cubic feet when it gets folded. When it comes to technology, both vehicles have a lot to offer such as a trip computer and steering wheel controls.

Safety
Equipping every trim with the security that comes with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the Subaru Outback can give you peace of mind with its enhanced safety. The Mazda CX-5, however, only has All-Wheel Drive as an optional feature. Though both do offer useful features like a Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Rear Vision Camera.

Performance
Although both SUVs offer 2.5-liter engines, if you are looking for added strength, the Subaru Outback offers a 3.6-liter that comes with the Outback 3.6R Limited or 3.6R Touring that offers 256 Horsepower! This is more than the 187 Horsepower that the CX-5 offers. You may also be able to spend less time at the gas station with the fuel tank capacity of 18.5 gallons that the Subaru Outback has that is significantly more than the CX-5. If you plan on doing some towing, the Subaru Outback also stands out with its 2,700 pounds of towing capacity that it offers compared to the Mazda CX-5 and its ability to only tow up to 2,000 pounds.
