The All-New Subaru Forester

The 2017 Subaru Forester is Perfect for Exploring all that Southeast Washington State Has to Offer

With Standard All-Wheel Drive, this Family-Oriented Crossover Gets You Wherever You Want to Go

Let's face it: the opportunities for backroad exploring and even off-road adventuring in our little corner of Washington state are nearly endless. From where the Columbia and Snake Rivers intersect just below Pasco, to mountain roads of Mt. Ranier National Park and Oregon's Mt. Hood, this part of the country seems to have designed specifically for the virtues of Subaru lineup of all-wheel drive crossover SUVs, including the new 2017 Subaru Forester.

The 2017 Forester is a compact SUV that slots between the midsize Outback wagon and the compact Crosstrek crossover. It's arguably the most SUV-ish Subaru currently produced, and features great ground clearance (8.7 inches) along with a high-ceilinged cabin (pets, anyone?) and loads of available safety features which, along with Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive system, help the Forester regularly score top safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

A few words about the Forester's legendary off-road prowess. It starts with that symmetrical all-wheel drive, which was pioneered years ago by Subaru to be fully-integrated with a vehicle's drivetrain. This ensures that maximum power is delivered to all four wheels all the time, for maximum traction and stability regardless of the road conditions. The Forester features Subaru's signature boxer-style engine, which lays flatter than a traditional engine design and lowers the vehicle's center of gravity at the front-end, further improving stability around turns and corners. The new Foresters now have X-Mode with Hill Descent Control, which manages throttle, AWD, stability and traction control and hill descent control to help the Forester crawl up and down inclines and through muck. And then there's Subaru's EyeSight® driver assist system, which uses two small cameras mounted on either side of the rearview camera to help with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and pre-collision braking.

If you've chosen to live in the greater Pasco, WA area, this is probably due in no small part to your and your family's love of the great outdoors. The 2017 Subaru Forester was conceived with the great outdoors in mind, and built to ensure you can get wherever your wanderlust takes you, safe and secure in the knowledge that you're behind the wheel of a vehicle that's all about safety and security.
