As one of the world's most renowned automotive brands, Subaru never fails to impress with each new model year. Innovation is an important aspect of the Subaru business strategy, and this is why the Japanese automaker always brings something new to prospective car buyers from Kennewick to Richland. With this in mind, here are some of the new Subaru developments you can expect to see at McCurley Subaru in 2024:
The 2024 Subaru Ascent Gets Various Upgrades
If you are looking for a stylish and dependable three-row SUV, the 2024 Subaru Ascent offers new feature packages. Some features previously offered in higher trim levels or as part of special packages are now standard across all trims; these include responsive LED headlights, a rear seat monitoring system for baby passengers, and additional USB charging ports. The Ascent also gets a new trim lineup with the Onyx Edition and the new Touring models. This top-of-the-line trim gets an upgraded 11.6-inch Multimedia Navigation infotainment touchscreen, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, and a surround-view monitor for enhanced visibility.
A New Generation for the Subaru BRZ
One of the most popular rear-wheel-drive sports cars in the United States is entering a new era. The Subaru BRZ compact performance car is now in its second generation, offering greater power and capability and various sport-tuned features. The 2.4L boxer engine now delivers 228 horsepower for a noticeable boost in acceleration. The chassis platform has been hardened, and the suspension has been revised for improved handling with a lower center of gravity. Even though most drivers prefer the Subaru BZR manual gearbox for spirited driving, you now have a six-speed automatic transmission as an option.
A new trim level for 2024 is the Subaru BRZ tS, which takes things to a new level of performance-oriented driving. The tS designation means "tuned by STI," which stands for Subaru Tecnica International motorsport division. The tS boasts Brembo brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, and a push-button limited-slip differential for enhanced cornering. The aerodynamic package of the BRZ tS features a prominent rear wing and sleek side panels that indicate its STI racing heritage.
The New 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness
Subaru executives have been listening to Crosstrek fans who wanted to see a Wilderness trim package similar to the Outback and Forester. The good news for 2024 is that the new generation of the Subaru Crosstrek gets a Wilderness edition. As the name indicates, the Wilderness trim transforms that 2024 Crosstrek into an off-road driving machine capable of confidently driving over rugged trails and challenging terrain. The Crosstrek Wilderness is lifted to provide an impressive 9.3-inch ground clearance to easily deal with rocks, logs, and dips. An upgraded suspension enhances off-road capability, and a front skid plate protects the undercarriage.
New Upgrades for the 2024 Subaru Legacy Sport
Even though the Legacy midsize sedan was completely redesigned for the previous model year, the Sport trim level did not get as many new features as some drivers hoped. To get the best Legacy driving experience from Pasco to Walla Walla, you must go with the 2024 Legacy Sport, upgraded with an 11-6-inch infotainment touchscreen and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. The Legacy is the only sedan in the North American market with standard all-wheel drive across all trim levels, but the Legacy Sport goes one step further with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, which delivers superior traction and handling on various road surface conditions.
