Whether or not you're familiar with the components of an automotive braking system, you need to be able to recognize the signs of worn-out brakes. When it's time to have your brake pads or rotors replaced, turn to the service team at McCurley Integrity Subaru. Our expert technicians have the tools and resources necessary to keep your brake system operating smoothly and ensure your vehicle is ready to stop when you are.
Most new Subaru vehicles have disc brakes that utilize calipers, pads, and rotors to slow you down. When you depress the pedal, the caliper squeezes the pads against the rotor and bring your vehicle to a stop. Since brake pads and rotors wear at different rates, the interval they need to be changed can vary depending on your driving style. Most brake pads typically need to be replaced every 15,000 miles, whereas rotors can last anywhere between 25,000 to 30,000 miles.
Don't know if it's time to plan your next appointment? Take a look in your Subaru Owner's Manual to find information relevant to your specific model. If you think you need your rotors or pads replaced, bring your vehicle to McCurley Integrity Subaru and take advantage of our quick vehicle inspections.
