Top 5 Things to Do in the Pasco Area

We love living in an area that offers so many fun outdoor activities. If you’re in the Pasco area, you probably spend a lot of time inside all winter! We’re finally well into spring and heading into summer, so we’re excited to be back outside.

The Subaru Outback is one of the best cars for outdoor recreation. The model is always gaining loyal enthusiasts, and in fact, some of those enthusiasts might be mad that we didn’t come right out and say the Outback is THE best car for outdoor recreation! It certainly checks all the boxes, and we can tell you what a lot of Pasco Outback drivers will be doing this summer.

  1. Sacajawea State Park. Standard roof rails and integrated crossbars make it easy to load up a canoe and pop over to the park. There’s more than enough room for a big picnic basket, and your best friend can hop in back. (Dog, not human. Please give your human best friend the front seat.)
  2. Palouse Falls State Park. This one is a bit of a drive from Pasco, but it can be nice to get out of town once in a while for a day hike or overnight camping trip. You can hit the road with friends or family, and everyone will enjoy a comfortable ride in the Outback.
  3. Wahluke Slope. The wine-drinkers among us love to visit vineyards and tasting rooms, so a comfy cruise up to Wahluke Slope is a good way to get some fresh air. With all the cargo space an Outback offers, you could pick up quite a few cases of Ginkgo Forest Wine!
  4. Gesa Carousel of Dreams. Just across the Columbia, Gesa Carousel of Dreams is always a fun trip for kiddos. Parents love the Outback because Subaru offers so many fantastic safety features. Even without the driver assistance systems that come with Subaru EyeSight, the Outback is a safe and secure vehicle.
  5. Howard Amon Park. This is a great option for kids, adults, and dogs. Kids love the giant fish, and the riverfront trail is a favorite among all kinds. Bonus: Richland offers plenty of nearby local eateries if you’ve worked up an appetite.
