2017 Subaru Forester Named "Utility Vehicle of the Year" by Automotive Journalists Assoc. of Canada

Given our proximity here in Washington to our Canadian neighbors, including a shared border, we value their perspective on all things automotive, especially when it comes to rugged SUVs. That's why our team here at McCurley Integrity Subaru was so excited to learn that the 2017 Subaru Forester has just been named "Utility Vehicle of the Year" by the Automotive Journalists Association of America (AJAC).

As reported in AutoGuide and Torque News, the 2017 Forester beat out two other finalists - the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC and the Chrysler Pacifica - for top honors. In particular, the Forester was recognized for its first place finish across five major categories: Value Price, Safety, Environment, Market Significance and Consumer Appeal.

The Forester is classified as a compact SUV here in the U.S., and has been receiving terrific reviews for its 2017 model year update. In addition to featuring standard all-wheel drive and Subaru's low-sitting boxer engine, which also contributes to vehicle stability, the Forester is also available with Subaru's acclaimed EyeSight® driver assist technology, which includes lane keep assist, pre-collision braking, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. The 2017 Forester also received a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine option that makes 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is particularly helpful on mountain passes.

We have a great selection of new 2017 Subaru Forester models in stock here at McCurley Integrity Subaru.
